About Carolyn Lord
Carolyn Lord is a California artist: raised in Southern California and now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her works are an expression of her varied interests, including gardens and architecture. Lord is inspired by the California Impressionists and the Regionalist watercolor tradition initiated by Millard Sheets. She exhibits in galleries; participates in plein air events; juried club and open shows; and has shown in Maynard Dixon Country since it began in 1999. She is a Signature Member of the California Art Club and of the National Watercolor Society, and teaches the drawing fundamentals of perspective and of the figure.

We strongly believe in the importance of preserving this historical property, and the need for sharing it with other artists. We want to ensure that future generations will understand and benefit from everything we do at the Dixon property, which is why we continue to produce the fine arts events, host artist retreats, mount major shows for important artists and host art workshops.
